Community Access Partners (CAPS-TV) is a membership based non-profit corporation that manages Public, Educational and Government Television in the City of Ventura. CAPS is responsible for the operation of two (2) 24 hour/day channels, which includes 20-30 hours per week of Public Access programming and 15-20 hours per week of live municipal meeting coverage. CAPS also provides studio and editing facilities, video equipment and training to individuals and organizations in the community.

This part-time temporary position reports to the Executive Director. Hours: up to 24 per week Salary: hourly - $10.00-$12.00/hour - DOE Closing Date: 10:00am Monday November 20th, 2006
The ideal candidate will possess the following: - A minimum of 1-3 years experience as an administrative assistant - Strong written and verbal communication skills -Excellent phone and customer service skills -Must be dependable, highly organized and detailed oriented - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced customer service environment
Primary Responsibilities include: - Preparing professional correspondence - Assist Executive Director with preparation of A/P & payroll - General office support, filing and data entry - Greeting clients and answering incoming calls - Assist with preparations record-keeping for Board & Committee meetings - Be a team player with a positive “can-do” attitude - Other duties and projects as assigned
Candidates must be willing and flexible to perform different administrative duties ranging from filing to answering the phones. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Primary Responsibilities include: - Video production of live and recorded municipal meetings and other events - Creation and maintenance of Community Bulletin Board media - Encoding and duplication of video and other media - Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and video / graphic production software - Prepare materials and provide instruction for Public Access training classes - Be a team player with a positive “can-do” attitude - Other duties and projects as assigned
Candidates must be willing and flexible to perform a variety of duties related to the operation of television studios and channels. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Experience with structure cabling and Mac/PC support a plus.
